County Fair |

| Fairs are an integral part of small town life in Northwest Iowa. It has been estimated that the total attendance at county fairs in Iowa last year was over 2,000,000 and the total economic impact of county and regional fairs in Iowa is over $200,000,000 annually. My photographic project centers on the fairs in Northwest Iowa. This body of work depicts the many different aspects of county fairs including photographs of youth and adult participants, vendors, attendees and vignette photographs of fair scenes. Many of the participants have volunteered comments about what they like about county fairs. This is a work in progress, I will add photographs to this site during next years fair season. Once completed, I plan to display the project and comments of participants at Northwest Iowa art centers and other venues. | ||||||||||
