My
name is Patricia A. LeClair. I live in Sioux City, Iowa. I have been
interested in being an artist since I was old enough to hold a pencil
in my hand. My first art paper was the butcher paper my parents brought
home from the butcher shop.
During
my school years I was awarded art scholarships to the Sioux City Art
Center where my love for visual arts continued to develop.
In
1975, I graduated from The Washington School, from Port Washington,
NY with a degree in " The Study of Art Media". In 1994,
I received an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts and Desktop Publishing
from Western Iowa Techical College, in Sioux City Iowa.. I am an active
member of the Siouxland Artist Group.
I've
done everything from painting highway billboards for a Sioux City outdoor
advertising company to graphic designer for Sioux City's numerous newpaper
tabloids.
My
artistic ability is very versatile. I am skilled at painting animals,
landscapes, still-life, adults, and children, which has furthered my
technique.
Ive
won ribbons in the "Worldwide Elvis Presley Art Competitions",
in Memphis, TN, and I recently won second place and honorable mention,
in the "Siouxland Artist Art Competition".
I
work on consignment and I have prints available for purchase.
